Abstract

This treatise offers a comprehensive analysis of fundamental semiconductor physics, its application in electronic devices, current and future technological trends, and scenarios for productive and educational development with a focus on the Dominican Republic. It integrates quantitative foundations, physical models, case studies, and national and international development strategies to advance local technological production, attract foreign investment, and strengthen Dominican university capacities for high-level competencies in semiconductors.
