Abstract

This article analyzes the connectivity between growth and global mindsets to strengthen intercultural competencies in educational and work contexts. Through an integrative theoretical review, the two ways of thinking are explored and how they complement each other, enriching fundamental skills such as openness, empathy, adaptability, and critical thinking, essential for living and working in diverse environments. The growth mindset is linked to processes of adaptation and resilience, while the global mindset is related to receptivity and openness to other cultures. Likewise, the willingness to continuously improve and understand the existence of diversity are great sources of learning. Evidence indicates that both mindsets develop together and contribute to producing professionals capable of interacting with empathy and cultural sensitivity. This study proposes a constructive and inclusive conceptual model that links both perspectives in both educational and organizational settings. Future research will validate this proposal, which will translate into specific training actions to address the challenges of global diversity.
